"Jaws" is a photo of a Florida alligator that I took at John B.
Sargeant Park in Hillsborough County, Florida. When I was a
young boy, we never worried about the alligators when we
went swimming because we knew there probably weren't
any larger than about four feet long. The trappers had
harvested all the larger ones.  
Once a gator gets to be about the same size as you, it gets
the idea that you might make lunch for him rather than the
other way around. That's when they get dangerous. Today
it's dangerous to swim where I once did.

"The Power of Flight" is another one the the great white
egret images you see at the Venice Rookery in Venice
Florida. This bird had just come in for a landing to be with
its mate.

A Mediterranean meal of bread, cheese, and wine was the
inspiration for this picture. Some of my favorite memories
of picnics include this holy trinity of dining.

This "Snowy Egret" was wading along the banks of the
Hillsborough River looking for a meal when I saw it.  This
River in Hillsborough County is one of the great birding
places in Florida

There are few things more American than a state fair, and
the Florida State Fair is no exception. The Flag and a ferris
wheel, what more could you want.

This picture of the osprey with the "Hypnotic Eyes" was
taken on the Hillsborough River in Hillsborough County,
Florida. There must have been between 10 and 15 nests
along this stretch of the river. The osprey is found on all
continents except Antarctica.

This picture of a monarch butterfly feeding was taken at
Honeymoon Island State Park in Florida. This is one of the
