Sandhill cranes abound in Florida and crane photographs can be taken just about any where. You will find them in both rural and
urban settings.

They are skittish around people but pay little attention to cars. As a result, many of them are hit by cars. If you try to approach one
near a road, it is likely to walk into traffic rather than let you approach it. So please keep that in mind.

The weather man said that is was going to rain and it did.
This sandhill crane pair took advantage of their wet
feathers to do some grooming. They  waited for me to
take their picture before walking away. The photo was
taken in eastern Hillsborough County, Florida.

The weather was wonderful, a bright sunny day, when I
came upon three sandhill cranes feeding in a pasture. A
tree and fence in between us gave them the confidence to
allow me to approach close enough to take this
picture."Just the Two of US" is a picture of two of the
three sandhill cranes and was taken in rural Hillsborough
County, Florida.
