It was a bright sunny day in Florida when I found the  cattle
and cattle egrets socializing in rural Hillsborough County,
Florida. For a change, although wary, the cattle didn't spook
when I approached.

was taken at Cockroach Bay in Hillsborough County,
Florida. It used to be called the American egret but the
name has been changed to the great white egret or simply
white egret. It can be found all over the world so the name
American egret wasn't appropriate.

Ceia Bay Preserve  State Park in Manatee County. The
preserve was a joint purchase by the State of Florida and
the Southwest Florida Water Management District and is
managed by the Florida State Park system.
