The picture "Rose Tree" was taken in a median on
highway 11 between Samta Fe and Rosario, Argentina. I'm
not exactly sure what this plant is but the flowers
reminded me most of roses, hence the name.

"Steel Magnolia" is a 10 meter tall sculpture of a flower
located in the United Nations Plaza in Buenos Aires. It
opens at daybreak and closes during the night. It was
donated to the city by the Argentinian arcuitect
Eduardo
Catalano, born in Buenos Aires. A hydraulic device opens
"Floralis Generica" in the morning and closes it at sunset.

"Ribbon for a Lily" was taken at Mote Marine in Sarasota,
FLorida. Begun in a tiny shed in a small Florida town, Mote
Marine Laboratory is now housed on a 10.5-acre campus in
Sarasota, Fla.

I took the picture "Chameleon Rides Gemini" in Eureka
Springs Park in Hillsborough County, FLorida. Anthurium
grow mainly in the wet tropical mountain forests of Central
and South America. Most of the 600 to 800 species are
found in Panama, Colombia and Ecuador.

I spotted the "Foreign Invader" image while exploring the
John
Sargeant Park on the Hillsborough River in Florida. A
South American native, the
water hyacinth was introduced
to Florida in the 1880's.

"Water Lilies" was taken at Mote Marine in Sarasota,
FLorida. There are two types of water lilies, tropical and
hardy. Tropical water lilies are divided into day bloomers
and night bloomers. All hardy water lilies are day
bloomers.

I took the  picture "Fish Out of Water", in Eureka Springs
Park in Hillsborough County, FLorida. Normally the
"
hanging lobster claw" flower would have the yellow and
green end down and this would be the last in a series of
blooms. The floral vistas are endless in this park with
many tropical species on display .

While walking in the National Park of Iguazú in Argentina, I
found this "Dragon Tongue." I'm not really sure what
flower or plant this is, but because of the shape and the
color I gave it the name "Dragon Tongue."

While walking down the Macuco Trail in the National Park
of Iguazú in Argentina, I spotted this tree of  "Variagated
Powder Puffs." I'm not sure which of the powder puffs this
tree is.

Some pictures are meant to be. I went to Oscar Scherer
State Park in Florida looking for a Florida scrub jay and
found this "Jungle Coral." A shrub or small flowering tree,
the
coral bean grows in pinelands, hammocks, and
disturbed areas and attracts hummingbirds with its bright
color.

The picture of these three roses, among a bunch of roses
arranged in a vase, intrigued me. These are hybrid tea
roses, one of the more common roses found at florists.
